FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

      1.   The Form of Future Perfect Tense:

      2.   Function

a)    The future perfect tense is used to describe an action that will have been completed at some point in the future.

(Future perfect tense untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu aksi akan telah selesai pada suatu waktu di masa depan).

·      By the time you arrive, we will have finished the meal and the speeches.

·      At this time next month, I’ll have finished my driving course.

b)   The future perfect tense is used to expresses an activity that will be completed before another time or event in the future.

(Future perfect tense untuk mengungkapkan suatu aktivitas yang akan sudah selesai atau terjadi sebelum aktivitas lain dilakukan di masa depan).

·      We will have gone when you come at 9.

1^st            : We will have gone. (Future Perfect Tense)

2^nd       : You come at 9. (Simple Present Tense)

·      Laura will have cleaned out the apartment before she gives back the key.

1^st        : Laura will have cleaned out the apartment. (Future Perfect Tense)

2^nd       : She gives back the key. (Simple Present Tense)

A.  Change the verb into the right form!

1.    By the time the guests arrive, my mother__________(make) dinner.
